Dr Cecil is my 2011 undergraduate film from Kingston University and was nominated for a British Animation Award - Best Student film category. 

A homage to my 20th Century musical heroes in America, it follows a nostalgic scientist who runs a dilapidated record store in Detroit. Unhappy with the state of the modern world he sets to work in trying to change it. In the back room he has a fantastical laboratory where he literally breathes new life into the forgotten vinyls.


I am currently in the process of revamping the scruffy original with a view of creating a larger scale animated film from the seeds of this idea. Hoping to have the revamped Dr finished by the end of the summer. Both the original and some of the updated scenes can be seen below.
